The Business Applications team provides end-to-end services to Business Groups and corporate functions, each with their own designated Business Application Owners who also act as Business Partners, representing the single face of IT to a Business Group or corporate function.
The Plan & Perform team resides within Business Applications Unit. Our team’s mission is to lead our unit relationship, service & project delivery, portfolio management, strategic direction and roadmaps. Our key responsibilities are:
Plan and manage effective unit development and operations and enable the teams to achieve their objectives
Facilitate people development, particularly competence ramp up and leverage best practices across the unit
Facilitate change management for the unit and for the projects to ensure successful deployment and end user experience
Manage the unit project and service Portfolio including budgeting, prioritization, cost and operational performance control, within the agreed budget frame, and achieving the agreed targets
Ensure that IT governance, PMM, IT processes and tools are applied in adequate way, and ensure common way of working across the delivery teams
Job Role purpose:
Ensures that the IT development activities, IT direction setting and Mode of Operation are planned and in place. Identifies and evaluates performance improvement opportunities.
Key tasks and main responsibilities:
• Contributes to build up IT Strategy and ensures the alignment with Nokia strategy and the strategies of the Nokia business units
• Ensures IT strategy is turned into actions and is aligned with the IT execution plans and capability roadmaps
• Responsible for implementation, execution and communication of the IT strategy
• Maintains IT MoO, and gathers continuous development input from all key groups and business stakeholders
• Work for and support IT Functions to deliver services and programs/projects end-to-end
• Continuously seeks improvement opportunities in various IT areas having ability to use both analytical skills as well seeing the big picture
• Benchmarking and alignment with universities and research institutes
• Designs, documents and implements IT Performance management and measures
• Reports the IT performance with agreed Scorecards and Dashboards
