FRONT END TEAM LEAD (REACTJS) - MALTA 

About the position 

Our Client is a fast-growing company supplying Live Gaming content to the largest gaming operators across Europe. They have amazing offices in Sliema that offer their teams a warm and exciting environment with many benefits.

The person they are looking for needs to have an excellent experience in Frontend development within an Agile methodology. They are looking for a team lead who offers help and shares knowledge with other colleagues. If development is an interest even outside of working hours and you spend time reading about new approaches and playing around with development challenges, you are the kind of person they are searching for!!

Responsibilities:

Perform front-end development tasks.

Dealing with the daily operations of the team. This will include lead scrum meetings, code reviews, and related merges, run and control the code deployment on development and stage environment

Support the whole front-end team helping and coaching the team members

Being responsible for the induction to newcomers in order to reduce the ramp-up period

Ensure the top-quality standards of the code base

Proactively bring new ideas, technologies, or procedures that will help improve the product

Lead by example

Support the Head of Development during the technical recruitment, appraisals, identifying training needs and motivating the team

Qualifications:

5+ years Front End Development experience

Solid understanding of JavaScript, Node.JS, Node/NPM or Yarn, and React.JS

Have used build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt

Experience working with Rest APIs and Socket services

Can build responsive designs with great UI

Team lead experience is a plus

Skills required:

Core JavaScript

Single Page Apps and front-end frameworks (Angular, React.JS, Vue.js, etc.)

HTML5, CSS3 (flexbox, animation, etc)

Responsive UI

Unit Testing and Mocking frameworks

Modern JS tools (Babel, Typescript, Webpack, Node.js, etc)

Worked with Jira / Slack

Experience with versioning systems

Willingness to learn and coach

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

Self-motivated with strong capability of fast learning

Technical understanding of web technologies
